Is this a Throttle Problem?:
I am pretty sure someone here knows what this is:
When I let off on the gas pedal no matter how slowly or smoothly - the car will coast and then after a second or two, it will lurch/thump forward.
When I tighten the throttle cable it still happens and the lurch/thump seems to get worse both on the initial press and release of the gas pedal.
If I keep in contact with the gas pedal and not let it travel through that initial stroke, it seems to be smoother or eliminate the thump/lurch entirely.
Is it my throttle cable sticking - what do I use to lube it?
Could it be my TPS?
Could it be the gas pedal linkage needs tightening?
What could it be?
Thanks in advance for any troubleshooting tips as this is literally "driving" me crazy.
