sticky gas pedal
my gas pedal doesnt feel smooth when i press on it, it stops half way and i have to give it a little more push to get it going, my friend said it could be because of the throttle cable and i should grease it up a lil, but i think it may just be the pedal, what do you guys think i should do?

Re: sticky gas pedal (Cat)
my gas peddal is similar to your gas pedal. its not as smooth as it was when new.
i think you should grease the throttle cable. i know its not the pedal itself but something after it.i used wd-40 and it was smooth for like a day.

my hatch had a sticky gas pedal when i bought it used. check out the throttle cable in the engine bay. mine was frayed pretty bad and was only connected by like 4 strands. replaced the cable and its smooth again.

I don't know the milage of your car if you've checked the cable and it looks OK, then check to see if your throttle body is sticking. If it is, then all you need to do is clean out the throttle body
