Default Throttle Body Help

Hi, does anyone know if there is any differance between a 1998 Civic Type R (EK9)stock Throttle body and one from a (96-98) Civic VTI. Does the Civic Type R one have a larger diameter. Also does anyone know the actual internal diameter of a stock Civic Type R throttle body and the Spoon Sports replacement one.

Thanks.

Thanks mmuller. I am currently thinking about buying one but not fully sure.
Does anyone else have a Spoon Throttle body fitted and do you know the internal diameter? Also would you recommend it.

Thanks.

Actually, if I remember correctly, the TB on the B16B is 60mm as well. The ITR is the only motor that comes with a 62mm TB.

A b16a and b16b tb is different in internal diamter. B16b is 64mm and B16a should be 60mm. What he means is the opening of the Spoon Tb starts at 70mm and tapers down to 68mm. For the price of the Spoon TB its not worth it. You Can buy a Full Billet aftermarket for cheaper.

I get you now. Is the Spoon tb gonna make any performance increase then, cause to me its pretty much the same as stock. Shouldn't the butterfly be bigger to. So this Full Billet aftermarket one, where can I get one from as I am in the UK, will they ship. The products here are so limited I hate it. Arhhhh!!! What do you guys run over there which is a popular TB on the Civics 96-98? Or should I just stick with my stock CTR (EK9) TB and spend the money on a better performance item.
