Default thoughts on using AMSOIL on a 1990 Integra GS

hi,
I am due for an oil change and I have read that AMSOIL is one of the best oils out there to put into your car. I was wondering if its just the same as any other synthetic oil in terms of how to use it and how it affects the cars, what im trying to ask is if I will have to do anything different from when I would change the oil with any other kind of oil, can I use a regular oil filter? etc.
Im thinking of putting some AMSOIL SAE 10W-30 XL-7500 into my 1990 integra GS. My car is completely stock except for a greddy exhaust, should I go with this AMSOIL oil, or which one should I use?
Also, what oil filter do you recommend? should I get a OEM oil filter or should I get a different kind?
any thoughts or comments would be greatly appreciated
