Default is there a big difference between 2.25 and 2.5 diameter piping

he difference is only a quarter of an inch so whats the big deal?

obviously the main concern is the amount of backpressure you'll have. you typically dont' want to go too big a diameter. 3" is the largest i've seen, but mostly useful for turbocharged cars. 2.25" is sufficient for most applications. going too big will actually cause you to lose power.

Just FYI, but most aftermarket exhaust systems (ie: Tanabe, HKS, DC Sports, GReddy - for honda/acura apps) are all 60mm in ID (Inner Diameter)...works out to about 2.38" ID.
