mandrel or crush? whats the difference anyways?
ok ok before i ghet started i know what the difference between the two is. But is there really any hp lost with crush bent and mandrel bent? a local performance shop will make one for me with 2 1/4 inch piping. I have a 93 civic lx. They said it wont really matter if i used crush bent or mandrel bent nbecause of the size of the piping. i need to know from you guys if there really is any difference between the bends. all and any info would be a huge help! thanks!
I not sure how much of a difference it will make for you now. If you decide to go turbo later, it will make a big difference. If not then you will notice a horsepower increase in your top-end. Maybe someone else could explain it better, but I'm pretty sure this is the case...
Good Luck!

Thats way to much money. You can get nicee mendral bent for cheaper with cat and muffler.

I got quoted about 200 for 2 1/4" mandrel piping, header back, without muffler. So 250 for crush is a definate rip.
Wow, all you guys are getting ripped. I am doing a full dual exhaust for some guys jeep, the parts cost about 220. And that is more piping than anyone here needs. You hit me up if you want cheap stuff. I will make sure to hook you guys up.

The shop i went to does the cat-back piping for $80, stainless steel is about $110, but either way $250 seems like a rip off. Try other muffler shops in your area because looking around i've found prices ranging all the way from $80 to $150.
