Sorry if I posted this in the wrong section
So I want to put a test pipe on my 94 gsr Integra , I'm fully stock besides an intake
Do you think the cops will know that I am running a test pipe , and if so what are the consequences of i do get caught , and yes I know to take it out at smog time. Also will it sound good

Well first off the car will smell like pollution, so a cop sitting behind you in traffic may pick up on it. AFAIK the ticket for removing a catalytic converter is quite large, like 4 digit amount large. Probably sound more raspy. Basically not worth the risk, plus you'll get like what? 5hp tops?

Tasken, a 200-cell spun mettalic core cat from Magnaflow is less than $100 on eBay. A muffler shop will probably charge you the difference of that c-note to weld it in. And you'll be doing your part to help curb climate change. Exhaust will be quieter too. There really is no reason not to.

On the dyno a stock cat vs a 2.25 test pipe on a stock h22a was 1 hp diff for me...
