Temperature control cable is bent! *help!!*
New to this forum, but i use it for some insight on my cars.. So I have me a 88 wagon, and my alternator went out on me, so when I replaced it, I had to shimmy it behind the block and take it out where the air intake is, during this process, I had to disconnect 2 Coolant hoses, an one hose didn't fully disconnect because it was attached to the temperature cable regulator, with the removal of the alternator( pain in my butt!!) I bent the **** out of the wire. So when I tried to turn the dial for the heat, it wouldn't move, so I tried to bend the wire back to normal, but have failed. To get some heat in my car I turned the switch on the coolant hose to open, and it barely gives any heat.. Can some one give me some insight on this!?
You can manually move lever arm on the little black box that hose and wire is attahed to. FWIW that wire only goes theu firewall and the to bottom/side of heater box
