Default Swapping my springs/dampers...quick question?

I havent worked on my car in a long time. Forgot about everything car-related. So help me out guys.
Im getting rid of my Del Sol so Im taking out the GC/Koni. Now would I need a spring compressor to reinstal the stock spring/damper even though the spring is already on the damper? I remember not using a compressor when taking out the stock spring/damper, but would it be different in putting it back in?

You don't need a spring compressor.
