swaped my d16z6 bottom end with a d16y8 dont start
Plz help everyone I had a d16z6 I blew the bottom end. Now replaced the bottom end with a d16y8 with the same d16z6 top end . It started right up and ran for 2days then just stopped.. It has spark and fuel thru the injectors but just wont fire up just turns over... I have been told that its because on the y8 the crank position sensor is behind the crank pully and my harness doesn't have a plug in for it because my z6 crank sensor is in the dizzy and that's why .. Plz help me out everyone I need my car going asap.. Can I just splice the 2 together??

if you have spark and fuel but it won't start... pretty much all that's left is timing. you're timing is off, more than likely.
the crank sensor only comes into play (only matters) if you've put a Z6 or Z6 bottom end into a car that originally had a Y8. not the other way around like you've done. as long as you have the same distributor as before, no trouble.

The car ran for 2 days so I know that the timing is good enough to start and run good so do u have any other ideas... Last night while I was turning it over the main relay started buzzing and vibrating pretty loud
