where can I purchase a 1.4k ohm surface mount resistor. went to radio shack and the salesperson have no clue what i was talking about. any help, thanks. this resistor convert the auto ecu to manual on the JDM ecu. hope that helps.

well, i called Hondata regarding the 1.4k ohm resistor. Hondata said that any 1.4k ohm resistor will work. whether it's surface mount or the regular spiral one. Hondata imo has fu...up customer service. Per their website site and install cd that was included. All that was said was swapped it out to 1.4k ohm. And that will make your ecu manual. This auto to manual ecu conversion is driving me crazy...

 

what value, size, rating do i look for. all i know how is measure the resistance with a multimeter. that gives me the resistance. I don't know style, brand, or so. you have any info...thanks.
