which supercharger?
This is entirely up to you. Check and see the specs on the JRSC and the Vortech. JRSC will give you boost from idle up,the Vortech wil be more like a turbo. Vortech will give more max boost, JRSC has 100K mi warrantee. If it was me I would go JRSC...but, that is only my opinion.
Vortec doesn't have any applications for the H22 (yet) but some things to considder. The JR is a positive displacement blower. Therefore it makes positive pressure from the moment the engine starts turning and its directly proportional to the crank speed so the boost is completely linear. What this means to your backside is lots of nice torque low in the rev range but it doesn't have the *** puckering top end potential of a turbo.
The Vortec on the other hand is a crentrifugal blower, just like a turbo, except that it's driven off the crank. It will suffer from the same low end anemia that many turbos suffer from because it just isn't sized to flow efficiently at lower speeds (it rocks up high though). The main advantage to the vortec design is that it prevents heat buildup in the head and the packaging of the intercooler is really efficient (I think it looks great actually). Its hella expensive though and it really doesn't work as well as a properly designed turbo.
Confused yet?
Compare the dyno graphs of both systems. that says it all.
