Default super tech vales

i just purchesed a whole super tech valve train and when i got the valve guides i went to test fit. and the exhaust valve went right through the guide just fine smooth as butter. but when i tryed putting the intake through it wouldnt go. it fells like i have to force it but dont want to. anyone else ever have this problem ? and wat do you think that it could be ? thanx

You know that when you change the valve guides you have to warm up the head to 350 degrees F.

Check the manual out it will tell you that a hot plate is needed. I would use something that disperses heat evenly.

This would be a job best left to a machine shop or someone who has done this before. This is not a bolt on job. It is not like valve seals where you take old ones out and install new ones.

yea im getting the machine shop to press the guides in . but when i get it bac the valves sould fit right? or sould i just let the machine shop know wats going on ?

The valves would be against the valve seats. Something different and seperate from guides. If they came out fine then just put them in the same places they came out of.

If they are completely new then you will at minimum have to lap the valves. I would take it all to the shop and have them do it. If you have the cash and a good machine shop a 3 angle valve job would be worth the money.

im getting my whole head done and they are nitro coated with lapping them have any effect on that ?
