To my knowledge, OBD0 = No onboard diagnostics = OBD-less.

I think OBD-0 just means that you don't have OBD.

OBD0..... NO WAY!!! You sure?

Edit: OBD0 only exists in the honda world, it's really called OBD, but since honda has three variations of it and the third is in sync with the rest of the cars in the world which call it OBDII, the only logical thing to call the first and second OBD versions are OBD0 and OBDI.

obd0 is also called non-obd. Mean no on board diagnostics. Which also mean abd0 really does not exist. Just something that caught on.

It's got an on board diagnostics (OBD) system on it, so how the expletive are we going to call it "Pre-OBD"?

Anything with an ECU and the ability to check trouble codes has OBD.

The terms OBD-1, OBD-2, etc. are diagnostics that were mandated by the government (by the EPA I believe). Anything before that equipped with on-board diagnostics is just that - OBD (On Board Diagnostics). Of course those diagnostic systems were not mandated by any government agency although if I remember correctly there was something about all cars having supposed to be equipped with some sort of OBD in the mid 80's. It may have been a recommendation, I am not sure. If you want to do research, do a search on the 'keyword 2000 protocol' and you may be able to find some diagnostics history.

There really isn't such a thing as OBD0. OBD0 is just a term used in the Honda world to differentiate pre-1992 ECUs with 1992+ ECUs. But both of these are really just different versions of OBDI.
