Strut Bar
I was wondering where I can put my strut bar. My throttle body is upright. I have a 98 Civic. I dont know if this is a normal throttle body. I noticed alot of civics have the throttle body that connects to the side of the intake manifold. Can someone tell me if there 98 civic's throttle body is up or to the side? If so... where can I connect the strut bar. I have a aem short ram intake.

non-Si's have the TB facing up
Si's have the TB on the left side, since it's a b-series engine
all other b-series are like above

that is definitly not true. There are civics with D series engines with the throttle body connected on the side. Not only B-series. I just dont know why mine is upward while other D-series engines are connected to the side.
it looks like you tranny mount is not hooked up. like the motor is not sitting right.
maybe my eyes are fucked up. you dont need a strut bar anyway.....so dont get one. unless you just want it for looks.

civic dx lx cx have the upright throttle body, civic ex and si have it on the side, dont put it on a lx, you wont be able to tell the diffrence anyway. not worth the hassle
Anything that you can do to strengthen or reinforce the chassis is going to help the car handle better. Strut tower bars can serve this purpose very well. I believe that there is at least one company that makes bars that angle back & then cut across, to avoid the rubbing problem that may come from a bar that just goes straight across.
Sway bars will give you a more noticeable difference, but they are definitely not a mod for the novice. Make sure that you know your car well as it is now, in the handling department before you get a bigger sway bar.
Also, don't forget that having the proper tire pressure is VERY important for good handling. Tire pressure can be the difference between a good-handling car & a shitty-handling car.
