STR Throttlebody/Skunk2 manifold Problem
I have a S2 mani and 68mm str t-body, and my idle wont drop below 1500 when warm. It is a vacum leak at the t-body gasket, specifically the top corner towards firewall. STR says the s2 mani's are made in taiwan and arent perfectly flat. I have tried rtv on that area, and still get the leak.
Anyone else ever hear of this or have the same problem? Should i go as far as taking the manifold to a machine shop to make it level or maybe double up on the gasket? I havent spoke to skunk2 on the matter yet, but str makes it sound like it happens all the time. TIA

i had the same problem for years, if you have a vafc, you can fix this problem. go to the narrow in the settings, and drop it down to -20. i willl try to get a pic and show you what i mean.
