skunk2 intack manafoled idling problems?
I put a skunk2 intake manifold on my b16 and ever sins it idles like 1500 RPM's and sometime it lops between 1200 and 2000. i can't figure it out. anyone have any ideas?
Vacuum leak, manifold is leaking around the gasket. It's been so long but I think if you shoot brake clean around the manifold to see where the leak is. RPM will shoot up. Not sure again of how to diagnose it's been incredibly long time since I worked on a car.
This sort of problem can be most frustrating to fix. The first thing to look for is any kind of air leak, as this can cause problems. Air leaks can, of course, occur at the gaskets as well as any of the vacuum taps. If this does not solve the problem, you might have a bad IACV. Also check your coolant. Sometimes, air pockets in the cooling system can cause the idle valve on the throttle body to malfunction, causing a similar problem. Make sure it is properly bled.

Remove radiator cap when motor is cold, start car, turn on heater and set the blower to the highest speed. Let the car reach normal operating temp. Air will rise and come out of the radiator fill neck.
