Default stock shock...

how well would the stock shocks hold up on my LS integra, if i put on some coilovers?

would they blow right away, or does it matter on how low and bouncy the ride would be?

i want to lower my car for looks only...not performance or smoothness of the ride

so all i really want to know is if the stock shocks would be alright to use if all i'm goin' for is looks?

Depends on the drop....I have stock shocks on my Civic with a 1.75 drop and they are fine.

i don't know about the spring rate...but i was thinkin' of no more than a 2" inch drop...i just want enough of a drop so that the wheel gap is not as noticeable

Then get the Neuspeed Sport springs......I love em! And they give the car a good look without having too small of a gap.....two/three fingers between the tire and the car.

I had my civic dropped on Neuspeed race springs (2.25 in drop) and stock shocks. I then switched to Tokico HP's. Personally, I see no difference. And after riding on the stock shocks for about a year, they were still in good shape. If it's just for looks, just stay with stock. If you do go aftermarket, get something other then Tokico HP's.

thanx for the info guys...

do you guys know of any coilovers that are not a big name brand but still work well...i don't feel like spendin' big bucks for a name brand and high quality when all i'm gonna be doin' is droppin' it for looks..

so does anyone know of any coilovers that would be around $200 or cheaper?
