still getting code 1 & 2

i just got type R dc headers and i had to relocate the wires to the downpipe. the new sensor has 2 black wires, a green, and a white. i was told to just connect my 2 O2 sensor wires to the green and white and just disregard the black wires. i did that and im still getting a code 1 and 2. is there anything i did wrong while hooking it up?
