Starter Problem...
car:99 civic si W/ B18C... Using B16a2 Trans w/starter.
The bat was dead from sitting for 4 months, so we jumped the car... When I turn the key, I hear a spinning noise, but no cranking of the motor. I just got the motor put back to together, so the timing belt is brand spanking new, flywheel was fine when I put it back in... I am charging the battery overnight, and will see what happens tomorrow... is it possible that jumping it wont make it turn over?
If it still makes the sound, any ideas? new starter maybe? is the b26 starter not powerful enough?
Thank for the input guys!

There is a 'bendix' on the shaft of the starter motor that should engage the flywheel and crank the engine. That isn't happening by your description, and that's why there is only a spinning noise (the starter motor spinning). The bendix may be gummed up.
