Default Speedometer doesn't go over 84

Got a swapped 93 del sol si with b16a2, notcied the other day that when i hit 84 the speedometer stopped moving. Its been awhile since i've gone that fast but it has never done it before. I thought it might be the clutch slipping but I'm able to floor it in all gears with out any slippage as well as i tested it out a bunch of times and am able to still accelerate even though the speedometer doesn't show it. any one have any ideals as to why this is happening?

Because if it gets to 88mph, the car will break the time/space continuum.

Sounds like a VSS problem to me.

Does your odometer continue to work at 84mph?

Needs more powa!

j/k I wouldnt think the VSS would stop at 84. The speedo face could be not flat letting the needle drag on the face.

I agree with locash
You should check your flux capacitor
