Are there differences in specs between auto and manual JDM B18C?
I know the b16a has lower compression pistons and less aggressive cams, but not sure about the b18c...

(I've looked at asia.vtec.net but it didnt seem to mention anything about this...)

 

The us b18c does have lower compression. US is 10.0 while JDM is 10.6.

 

Erm, I wasn't asking for differences between USDM and JDM ones... (I'm not in the US...) but thanks anyway...

 

JDM B18C/SiR engine AT & MT versions use the same longblock/same compression/10.6. Cam profiles are of AUTO spec tho (wack profiles), and of course an Auto tranny. Swap the tranny and clutch components for that of a 5speed and slap some 'R' cams in (or any other cams of your choice) and you'll be set.

 

Any idea about the differences in duration on the cams (how much is the difference?), and whether or not it is just one cam or both?

 

its both cams. I dont have the exact specs though.....but if you compare a set of MT SiR-G cams next to some AT SiR-G camshafts....you'll see the difference in lobe duration and lift.
