spark test

what is the proper procedure to test for spark in a honda engine? thanks

Pull a plug wires and put a spark plug into the end of it, have buddy turn the ignition on and try to start the car, you watch for spark. Or the good old screwdriver trick.

when you put the spark plug on the end of it you have to make sure that you ground out the spark plug. The metal part that is formed for the socket to take it out put it on the valve cover or any other good ground. have someone turn it over and watch to see if you get spark.
