Tool for checking spark?
Anyone know of a good easy to use, and reliable tool for checking spark?
Im sick of doing the old screwdriver trick, or the plug to ground trick. I t always either seems like i cant see the spark or i end up getting electrocuited.... lol ...
anything easy that u just like clip onto the outside of the plug wire????

^^^ haha, that things just a bit gheto. I thought i remember someone telling me about a tester that you could just clip onto the spark plug wire and the **** would light up or whatever if you were getting power through the dizzy.. any one know of any other kind of spark testers?
can u se the spark good in daylight??? whenever i tried using a spark plug to like a ground i could never really see it arc across even when i know i had spark .... i just want something that is unmistakable i guess

Just hold it on the outside of the plug wire, it flashes a light inside when that wire transmits spark. You can see it on the brightest days, and nothing to adjust and crap.

Having it be adjustable serves a purpose. Its a lot easier for the spark to jump the gap in free air conditions, but under loaded conditions, the ignition system could fail.
Its been around for quite awhile and continues to see use in the industry.....for a reason.

I just use an old sparkplug, usually have one laying on the bench.
