Default Solvent safe for valve guides?

Quick stupid question. Head is completly broken down and before I reassemble Id like to use my parts cleaner (mineral spirits) to hose down the head and get all the gunk out of the small areas. Does anyone know if that will have a negative effect on the valve guides?
Thanks
-Rich

It shouldn't from my expirience, I also used a wire wheel to LIGHTLY remove carbon buildup but if you don't know how to properly do it don't. Valves are in there own little way fragile, so be careful with them. Good luck.
