snapped my first shaft! question?..
while launching at the track yesterday my driveshaft snapped on the passenger side....my question is should i not still be able to drive the car since i have a quiafe LSD. reason im asking is because i couldnt drive it after it snapped...but i still see the passenger side driveshaft spinning when i put it in gear. or does the passenger side driveshaft have to be fully intact to in turn spin the driverside shaft?
don't drive it. that's 100% of driveline force on one wheel and 0% force on the non existant. Hope the LSD doesn't break.
but then again quaife will probably still replace it.
Get it towed.

i did get it towed.. but today i went to see if i could actually drive it with the one broken axle and it wouldnt move when i put the car in gear and released the clutch. isn' the car supposed to be drivable still if only one axle breaks and you have a LSD?
I have never tried it but I belive you cant drive the car with one axle beacuse LSD is a limited slip were it engages both tires under load and dissengages one tire when making a turn if you had a spool then you could possibly drive the car with one axle
