Long story, but I managed to break the head clean off. There's plenty of meat in the crank, plus a little hanging on the outside. Do I have a chance of getting it out?
Ground the bolt down till there is nothing left but the stud portion. The stud itsself shouldnt be very tight.
Then simply drill a hole in it and use an ease out.

No chance am I driving anywhere without a bolt holding that pulley on. The most I did was move it 15 feet up my driveway, and I did that as quickly as I could (I actually just got it rolling them shut it off and rolled to the end)

wow same happen to me i got a new block after welding it on twice and it came off lol. and why are u scared to move it? the only thing important that it spins is the alternator. only thing that will happen is the battery will die after a while. 2 hours.
actually if you only broke the back end off then im sure its still tight. if not then the whole thing should have came out instead of breaking....try to see if its still nice and tight...

I ended up towing it to a shop. They had a lot of fun doing it. They ended up drilling it out step by step until they could grab the threads and peel them out, then chase the threads. Charged me for 2 hours which wasn't bad
So they used a left hand drill bit and it eased its way out until they could just grab it. Hmm. Either way it is fixed. As stated earlier unless you are equipped with high quality bits, taps, dies, most often bolt removal is best left to someone more on a professional level with more experience to know not just what to do, but what to definately NOT do. Wow that is one awkward sentence.
