Smoking diagnosis
My guess (and hope) on this is valve seals, but before spending the money on seals and 99999999 other nessesary gaskets to do the job, I figured I'd get some second opinions.
Car smokes blue. Not immediately at start up (no matter how long it's been sitting). It takes 1-2 minutes after start up before the car starts to blow a decent amount of smoke for about 10 seconds and then stops. Beyond this it gets weird. The car makes a quick puff of smoke at initial WOT, then clears up for the rest of the pull, then smokes again (good amount) when I let off. Oddly, the more back-to-back pulls I make, the less it smokes after each pull, up to a point of about 4 pulls when it barely smokes at all. It also tends to smoke (if it's having a smoking day) when I rev match down shifts (puffs on the rev), but this isn't consistant, some days it does, other days it doesn't. Smoking can be quite random. Some days it won't smoke at all, other days it will smoke a lot. Seems almost like there's an oil buildup somewhere that increases with easy driving, but goes away after enough hard driving.
Any ideas? Turbo is a brand new Garrett (non-BB) running off fairly high pressure oil (anywhere from ~20psi hot idle to ~120psi cold idle) , but IMO the symptoms don't seem to be turbo seals and the car began it smoke a little before I installed this turbo. I could be wrong though.
Thanks in advance.
