blue smoke

Default blue smoke

i did a search, but couldnt find anything. if i take off from a stop, and run my car to 6200 rpm, blue smoke starts coming out, and it smells like ****, umm, could it be bad oil rings or something?

Sounds like rings. Do a leakdown test to make sure.

If you take off from stop and your car smokes ONLY IN THAT CASE it's your valve seals... note that your car will only smoke after idleing for a while... it will probably not smoke during normal driving... oil consumption is low (up to 1-1.5 quart / 4000 miles)


If your car is smokin' all the time while normally driving and especially when in VTEC, it's your rings... car will smoke all the time and it will smoke bad... oil consumption is high (up to 1-1.5 quart / 1000 miles and even more)
