I just got the skunk2 shirt shifter. The car I am putting it on is a '90 CRX with a B16. The problem that I am having installing it is the fact that the bar that's below the pivot point and where the bolt goes, it hits my resonator. This causes the shift linkage to not be able to line up with the bolt hole in the short shifter. A local shop did my exhaust, it is 2.5inch piping with a resonator and high flow cat. The resonator just begins under where the short shifter is located.

So my question is to anyone who can help is, is there anything that I could do to make this work correctly or should I just return the skunk2 short shifter in exchange for something else? any opinions/ideas are welcome.

 

your resonator should be more towards the back of your car. have it moved.
