Default skunk 2 stage 2 cam problem

anybody ever have a problem with these cams losing power just before v-tec..or bogging at around 5000 rpm?

yes....i had this problem on a customer's car. It was a b16a with mild work done to it. Right at VTEC crossover it would bog and then go again. It would happen all the way until we set VTEC to turn on at like 6000-6200 rpms or so. I think the motor doesnt have enough compression or just doesn't make enough power to run these cams. We went with stage 1's and it ran alot better. BE VERY CAREFULL! He ran the car like that for maybe a month and it would bog, until it eventually broke the intake cam right in half, Skunk2 warrantied the cam but he had to get another motor. Dont really know 100% if it was related but it was the only thing that we could associate.

we've put the stage 2's into stock motors and have never had any problems... do u have any means to tune the car... fuel/timing/vtec x-over?
