I heard nothing but bad things about short shifters. Messing up your sychrones etc. etc. My friend has went through THREE different kinds and ended up using his stock one.

Just get some Poly busings for your stock shifter.

honestly now, heres my take on it
i have a lightweight flywheel with my b16 and when im racing i still beat the rev drop on the shift so its pointless to shift any faster. the throw isnt that long anyway

Which ever you decide to use, make sure its not aluminum. My Tenso (it came with my car) one is aluminum. Once while leaving my grandma's house nice and calm it broke. I had to put more threads on the POS. Now I have short shifter extreme.

Hey man

u do not need to buy one, all u have to do is take out your stock shifter cut it shorter and get it rethreaded at a machine shop cost a few bucks and just as strong as the stock. I did with mine and no complaints.

That just makes the shifter physically shorter, but doesn't really shorten your throws.

Your tranny can only shift so fast. Using a short shifter is not the greatest thing for longevity of your tranny.

I have had 2 friends use them, rather hard though, and messed theres up. There both now back at stock.

Mista Bone actually knows a little more (as these were 'words of wisdom' from him...along time ago, back on the EnDyn board).

Just thought I throw my 2 Lincoln's in on this subject.
