it wouldnt hurt to change the bushing while your taking it all apart, but make sure you put the metal collars back in the new bushing if you do. Take the shift **** off. Take the two rear bolts from the back of the shift linkage. It should drop down. there are 2 nuts that need to be taken off of the ball holder you should see it, will be mounted to the stabilizer.Once taken out the shift rod should seperat from the stabilizer. On the shift rod there is a bolt and a nut that actually go through the bottom of the shifter unbolt that, there will be alot of spacers and washers, try to keep them in order just in case.Take the shifter with the dust seal and the plastic ball holder out and swap all of that stuff onto your skunk, reinstall all thrust washers that you need and reverse what was up above. tq on the bolt that goes through the shifter and the two on the back of the shiftlinkage are 16ft lbs, and the washer that holds the ball holder onto the extension rod is 7ft lb just incase you want to be exact. oh also grease the plastic ball holder with a little grease. to anyone else if i left anything out please be sure to correct me, but i think thats all there is, trying to remember from memorey.
