Shocks vs. Struts
Firstly what is the difference between the shocks and the struts? What do each of them do? Also, which of them is better to replace with aftermarket ones on a 92 prelude 4ws?
thanks, jordan

Struts are designed for different cars - same with shocks. Shocks are also called dampers - english name. I believe that all preludes use struts, mine does. I recommend Koni!
yeah, your car is only equipped eith one type, shocks or struts. Your whole suspension is designed around it. So changing it to something else is... well it just ain't happening.
shocks are seen more on american trucks and older cars. shocks can be changed very easily and with out removing the spring. struts are seen more on japanese cars and on the front of most trucks. the strut assemble includes the strut it self and the spring to mount on the strut. something like that.
