shock/strut ?
when ppl buy aftermarket shocks, do they replace the stock struts? or how does that work...and r aftermarket shocks better than aftermarket struts?

shocks cannot replace struts and the opposite.
Honda EG's DO NOT use struts. They used shocks/dampeners.
A "strut" is a dampener that also locates the steering assembly.
That and all 88+ Civics are coilovers from the factory.
