Installing Beaks itr bar kit...what a pain!
Okay, since I'm putting on the koni's and h&r's might as well put the itr bar while the back end is up and the suspension is off. I'm thinking easy. Man was I wrong. There are 3 tack weld nuts on each side that need to be chiseled off. The 1st two are easy. The upper one is a real pita. And when I say that I mean the first two will take 10 minutes tops to remove. You'll spend 20-30 on the top one.
And while you are under there banging away, dirt is falling down on you. I highly recommend a face shield. Goggles are not enough. You'll start breathing dirt-yuck!
While chiseling it's real easy to chisel into the sub frame. Instructions warned me, but it still happened-arrggghhhhhh. Now the subframe is torn...looks like I'm calling my neighborhood welder. I mean damn you have to bang so damn hard to get those stupid nuts off. I've taken the whole car apart and next to putting in a new brake booster (talk about cramped) this was the biggest pain to do. I hate eating dust
For those of you that have torn your subframe, what did your solution look like?
I'm not knocking the quality of the kit. It's top notch except there seems to be some clearance issues with the driver's side sub frame. Crap I dunno, I have some aluminum stock and work. I might just fab up my own little hack job
All in all, after this I would seriously consider the comptech kit. Yeah it's pricey, but looks like a very nice install and if you're time is worth more than your money it's worth it.

Yeah, whacking off those nuts is a real pain in the ***. I stupidly started the job at around 8PM... let's just say I didn't go to sleep that night unti 5AM. Ugh.

I did one in about 30 minutes, why so many problems.
Easy trick. Grab the 10mm bolt that goes in the hole your supposed to drill out, screw it in about 1/4 of the way, grab 1 big *** hammer and pound the dog-**** out of it.
Popped out for me in no time.

Yeah, the chisel was "slice your finger open" sharp, however the top one is just a pain to get a proper angle. I'm sure I'll be much less negative about the experience once I'm driving it.
