Default shifter problems

while in gear in my 99 dx it feels as if the gears want to pop out while acceleration. i can move the shifter quite a bit back in forth while its in gear too. not exactly sure what it is thats causing this, shifter bushing maybe?

there are no shift cables on it. it can be a combo of a few things. the bearing/bushing setup on the shifter itself, the plastic cage the ball part sits in, or the rubber mounts that holds that linkage to the car. motor mounts i would check as well.
