Default Shifter causing tranny problems?

I just wanted to know ur opinions on if an after market short shifter will cause the cables to not engage gear fully, or if it caused a bushing to crack or something... I have a skunk 2 shifter on my civic n since im getting a swap mainly cause my d series trans is screwed up anyway, if i should use the shifter on my new trans? Should i jus cut the stock shifter n rethread it, i dont want to cause any machanical problems...

Noob! j/k Your car doesn't even have cables....and the person behind the shifter determines whether or not it is in gear. The shifter is a Skunk2, and it is a quality product!
