shift light
is there a way to hook up just a **** light with no additional tach. i want to put just a shift light like in one of my vents but no extra tach. is this possible and if so how do i wire it up?
you would have to buy a light with either a rev pill in the shift light it self, so when you hit the rpm's it will turn on. depending what kind of a pill you have in the light (ex: 500-900rpm)
also if you have a 92-95 ex civic with a rpm in it you can rigg it to turn on, on what ever rpm it is set for... the rpm guage should light up

i did the same thing you are talking about i put a shift light in the left vent, if you buy the autometer light with a pill, that is the best way to do it. then if you have an eg with a tach, the blue wire with a white stripe on the left harness going to the firewall is the wire you wnat to tap for the tach signal. then buy a pill kit and your done. i took out the vent and mounted it in there. it looks really good, sorry i dont have a digital camera or i would post a pic
