some cars just do that. older ones expecially. its like a point where the wheel just shakes up towards 50-70. maybe im wrong tho. does it do it after 65 at all?

Balance your tires.
You wheel are not hub centric.
Rack and pinion steering once old does that.
Need an alignment...

... All of em'.

if you are turning left to right then it could be torque steer. but get an alignment and chrck tire pressure

i have the same problem w/ my 93 hatch. it does it around 80 mph. i think it is my steering column bearing. i can not find anything loose in my frony end. i've balanced my tires plenty of times still no good. when i go over bumps slow it sounds like crap. i've lived w/ it so far.

I have a friend that's a bouncer at a local club, his arms are friggin huge ... he could probably hold the wheel still for ya

same thing with my car, also when i hit bumps it squeaks anyone know what thats about?
There's obviously a mouse stuck somewhere in your suspension. get a really mean cat and turn it loose ..... problem solved

Sorry, couldn't resist on me ..... Seriously though, the shaking is probably balance/alignment/hub centering (everything said before). For the squeaking, make sure everything is tight and or not rubbing..... after that I'd just go to town w/ a can of spray silicone and if it still didn't go away I'd just live with it and crank up the radio..
