Setting tps off the car ?

I have a set of itbs and I wanted to see the tps reading, so I was wondering if there was any way to hook the tps up when its out of the car. Would hooking a battery directly to it, mess it up ?

You can hook up a battery, just make sure it's a 5VDC+ source and not 12V+. Set it just as you would with any factory TPS.
