I have a floor jack, but need to jack up the car in a place where I won't have my floor jack. I don't trust the scissor jack enough to get underneath the car, so I want to use my jack stands.

What's the best way to do this given that the scissor jack uses the same jack point that the stands use (just behind the front wheels)? Can I use the scissor jack on the front jack point (the one underneath the radiator) and lift up the entire front end?
