schematic (sort of) and step-by-step of tiptronic button shifters

The bottom side of the controller unit :
The up-shift is a white wire with blue stripe and the down-shift is a blue wire with a yellow stripe. The center switch is what activates the sports shifter.
For the button shifter you don't need to worry about taking this unit off.
Between the controller and the wire plug I spliced into the shifter wires
I installed a quick disconnect in the case I needed to remove the buttons. This way I do not have to worry about mending the sliced wires.
I ran the wires under the dash, through the back of the streering wheel and under the SRS system.
A couple zip ties later:
Not to much for looks, but I'll work in fixing that later. First real test run was at the GAP and they worked great!! I was able to shift through the turns without having to remove my grip on the steering wheel!
fun-fun!!!!
