Default scanning a jdm ecu?

i have a 92 civic with a 92 b16a and yes i know how to get the check engine light to blink to tell what codes its throwing. but i was just wondering if it would be at all possible to scan a jdm ecu like the p30 i have, to get a little more detail of a problem.

Yeah, but you need a JDM jumper wire.

Any way, I don't see why not. I've gotten them from my obd0 pr3 before.

You can, but most scan tools require you to enter in certain numbers from the VIN to input what kind of vehicle it is. In this case, you just have to guess & check the numbers until you come up with an obd1 del sol vtec. If its a hack job of wiring, theres a chance you wont be able to read all the information, but you should be able to use the scan tool to view sensor readings, etc. I was able to with mine.
