Default What ecu can i use for my motor?

What is the stock ecu that comes in the JDM B16A? I need that ecu..

does it have to be a jdm ecu? are the jdm p30s diffrent than the usdm p30s

fuel/ignition maps are a little different. and the JDM ECU doesn't have the ability to read a few sensors that the USDM ECU can.
Honestly not a huge difference, other than price.

you want to get either a pr3 or a pw0 ecu. I think that the difference between the two are the pw0 is from the integra xsi and the pr3 is from the crx sir.

P30 will plug into a 92-95 civic (OBD1) - there are OBD2 versions though
Pr3 will plug into a 88-91 civic (OBD0)

Ideally you want to pair a JDM engine to a JDM ECU, but if where ever you are requires emissions testing then you may not be able to run a JDM ECU.

Yeah, i guess im still slightly confused. The date stamp on my motor is 93, which means it was made in 94. So if i have a 94 JDM B16A motor what ecu do i need to use? A pr3 or p30?

Well, if the motor is going into and EG, get a P30 or something like a chipped p28.

Also, to confuse you further, there is an OBD1 pr3 that came on the 92-93 integra xti which should work also, but rare to find.

stamped 93 means it was made in 93, the car it was sold in was sold as a 94 model year. It came with a P30.

shhhh don't confuse the boy. lol
there is a OBD2 P30 also. (96-97 DelSol)

Like SVOboy said...
If the chassis you're putting the engine in is a 92-95 civic then you want a P30 or a chipped P28 with the P30 maps in it.
If the chassis you're putting it in is a 88-91 civic then you want a PR3 ECU. Unless you want to convert the car to OBD1... then you want a P30.
If the chassis you're putting the engine in is a 99-00 civic then you want a P2T ECU.
If the chassis you're putting the engine in is a 96-98 civic then you want either a OBD2a to OBD2b harness and run a P2T ECU, OR a OBD2a to OBD1 harness and run a P30.
