D15b. The weird one.
Hey guys! I'll give you the rundown. I have a 1993 Honda del sol si usdm. I swapped a jdm d15b 3 stage v-tec in it about two months ago. Naturally, I'm having issues getting it to run right. I have the jdm ecu for the engine which is a p2j-003. I used a "Boomslag" adaptor to hook the jdm ecu to my OBD1 car. Naturally, the check engine light is on, neither v-tec stage works, and power is down. It's my daily, so I got it to a point where I could drive it and left it like it is. It drives fine and gets good fuel milage. I need to know how to wire up v-tec, which has no oil pressure sensor, down stream o2(if the JDM ecu needs it which I don't know), and have a way to check codes on my ecu(btw the port for my old one will not work with the newer ecu). I know there's a lot there. But any help with these things would be great.

Re: D15b. The weird one.
The JDM ecu is OBD2 and your car is OBD1.
The JDM motor uses an EGR while your car didn't have an EGR.
You are better off getting the car running right with an OBD1 ecu with Hondata S300 and getting it all tuned. The Honda S300 will run both the vtec-e and the v-tec as well as run a turbo on it if you wish.

That was my plan originally. I was trying to save a few bucks by using g the ecu that shipped with the engine. It's just a matter of time before I get the Hondata. I was thinking converting the car might not be worth the trouble. Thanks!
