Icon2 s300 in obd1 auto ecu

Has anyone ever installed a s300 in a auto ecu. It is a auto p06 ecu and circuit in the p06 has what looks like the spot for the s300. Anyone ever put a s300 in a auto ecu? What was the outcome?

Convert the P06 to manual. Supposedly you just remove rp17 and then solder a wire across rp18. Should be no difference otherwise.

Will it still work fine as a auto ecu? I have a auto trans and a separate stock transmission controller. Thanks for the help!!

No. You cannot tune an auto ECU.

Actually yes it will work as long as you are not using any controls from the stock ecu to control the transmission. You mentioned having a separate transmission controller. As long as the controller you have can be run as a standalone controller for the transmission you could run any Hondata ecu and have the controller run the trans. That said Hondata does not recognize or support anything for the stock auto trans so if you need any signals from the stock ecu to run your controller then it will not work as previously stated.

Very good this what i was thinking might work. I will he getting a manual p06 with hondata and plugging it in the place of the p14 auto ecu. I see i do have a few pinouts that refer to a/t on the p14 ecu. I dont think it has any direct connection to the transmission controller though. Anyone know for sure if it does?
