as the topic states I just checked my ECU which is 37820-P13-J51
which means that this ECU is for auto transmission and Im running 5 spd. If somebody has answer for this please let me know.

Oddly enough the car is running and throws only codes 20 and 36 which are not importan...so yeah

and I get VSS here and there maybe because im using the wrong ECU.....and I didnt get Vtec working either

or what would be the best replacement for p13 ecu

I passed Aircare with this ECU too... Is it possible that the importer (JK imports/autoparts) chipped the ecu so it works with 5 spd.

It depends on the ECU, but it is easier to make an auto trans ECU work in a manual trans car than it is to make a manual trans ECU work in an auto trans car. The reason is that an auto trans control unit gets its some of its inputs from the engine ECU. Things like throttle position and engine rpm are needed by the transmission control unit in order for it to calculate shift points. A manual transmission has no control unit on the other hand. So in order to use an auto trans with a manual trans ECU some wiring modifications may be needed.
