For a motor thats been sitting a while and has rusted walls, I'd personally remove the pistons and rods and re-hone the cylinder walls. After this if rust is still present you'll need to have the block bored 25 or 50 over. If you re-hone it, or even use some scotchbrite to get the surface rust off and it gets rid of 100% of it, all you should have to do is re-ring the pistons.

Good luck

Bore and hone, give it a nice crosshatch, and if you bore it large enough out of stock piston spec, new pistons and rings, re-break in the motor so the rings seat, and you'll have a new cyl.

it's been sitting for like 2 months.. would it be okay to run for a while.. i have a year warranty on the other motor, but i dont have time and a ride to take it to seattle to pick up the other motor.. this will be temporary.. i mean like a month at the most.. the only question im asking is will it be okay to run for a month? if yes then cool, if no then what will happen if i do run it?

just depends on how much of the cyl. wall is rusted. Is it a light surface rust? If so, the red scotch brite pad would work good. I just put together a motor for a gsxr 600 and it had a light surface rust. I didn't touch it, it fired right up and runs fine. Check it out. If your rings aren't extremely tight in the cyl. it will basically clean itself up, not the healthiest, but will work.

If all you are gonna do is run for a couple of months no problem. Slap it in and run it it will be fine.

Not being able to add anything to the important discussion, that being the engine, ill lend my thoughts on the abercrombie question. In my opinion abercrombie is way over priced. Plus why pay more money for clothes that look like they came off a homeless guy. Buy the cheaper clothes and blow the rest on cars. thats the way to do it.
but hey just my 2 cents on the matter.

abercrombie is like golf - overpriced, worthless, and for rich snobs. they're such a superficial company that they don't hire ugly people, and when they do, they make them work in warehouses. i pretty much wanna stab everyone who wears abercrombie.

If you're not shopping at the Goodwill, you're paying too much.
