Running too rich..
Weird I just responded to my own thread about a similar issue I was having after swapping exhaust manifolds. Turns out my car was running WAY too rich due to o2 sensor placement in the tall bung on the header. With the o2 sensor actually reading and reading correctly, all problems went away
Like i said the IAT and o2 will not cause my car to act like that.
few posts back, i said i had it running good today and wanted to turn it off and turn it back on to see what would happen, and sure enough it started acting up again..
misfiring/ sputter when given throttle
running rich still
stalls when given throttle
idling really really low like it wants to die, just running rough overall
once i unplugged the map it idles smoothly but it will stay in limp mode since no MAP is plugged
I am leaning towards the MAP, like connection problem..feels like sometimes the ECU will pick up the signal of the MAP and sometimes it does not.
Motor is not getting the correct A/F ratio, i messed with the map plug and sensor and got the motor purring but like i said it started acting up after i turned it off and back on
thinking about running the 3 map wires straight to the ecu..not sure gonna do more testing..
ideas?

Seriously dude. When you have a damn CEL, you fix that **** first. How the hell do you know if its not the cause of it. Looks like you know enough so no need to help.
relax newbie.
im telling you its not cause of those. you can go now and start your car and unplug the o2 and IAT and nothing will happen it will run lil richer, but nothing like mine...
Noob? LOL I'm not the one bickering about my car running rich because I'm too dumb to fix the obvious. I'm a great mechanic and have helped numerous people while getting paid for it. You're lucky I even tried helping.
no **** man...i have seen several of your posts and you give great advice...it is quite obvious and he is too much of a tool to realize it.

Poor fuel economy is stated in this article. Running rich equals poor fuel economy.

OP, you are not going to solve your problem until everything is fixed. If your ECU is registering a fault code for the O2 and/or IAT then they need to be addressed. The ECU could be registering other codes but those two are taking precedence.
What was done to the car just before this issue started to happen? Problems like this just don't pop out of thin air.
